“Engineers, rather than lawyers, make better politicians” Do engineers or lawyers make better politicians? Gillard and Abbott both have law degrees, but should they have done engineering instead? Do their law degrees make them better politicians? Or would engineers be better at drafting an “action contract”, “building a nation” and moving Australia forward? Come and see Young Engineers Australia Sydney Division and NSW Young Lawyers debate the real issues. The professions go head to head for the first time on 26 August 2010 at NSW Parliament House. Come and support your team, fraternise with the other side and join the party at the bar afterwards.
